The partnership ultimately came to an end in 2011 and Hero started functioning as a standalone entity thereon. The first ever motorcycle to roll out of the Hero Honda production line was the CD 100, which was followed by a number of models including the popular Splendor, CBZ, Passion, and the sporty Karizma. Originally, Hero started building motorcycles back in 1984 in a joint venture with Honda.
